and sometimes, even a visit to see relatives.
Lately, I've begged to go places on the weekends, and have been able to get away as often as possible, after the weekend honey-do house and property chores have had some kind of accomplished efforts...
mostly to places in and around our wonderful San Diego county.
I hope some of the pics are places you may not have known about, and that you'll have the opportunity to visit some of them yourselves. We've traveled so much over the years with our kids, compliments of the US Navy. I tried to find out as much as I could about places of interest to show the kids, between all of the cross-country moves we'd made.

They claimed then that I was dimented, but they've thanked me now, for traveling opportunities, across the country, and for a couple years, in Europe. (USN)
Most of the pics I have are "from the (fill in the highway number)" ... remember we have to hurry and get somewhere, and hurry to return home.
Try taking pics at 75mph, from freeways. Something almost always gets in the way. A truck that pulls between you and the view
billboards
utility poles
highway signs
all have a peculiar way of popping up, to hose your best efforts.
